We're Hiring: Full Stack Engineer

FlashFX is particularly looking for a full stack engineer to help us expand and globally deploy our next generation payments platform. You will be joining a highly dynamic and agile albeit small team with a growing demand in hiring a team of developers. This is a ground floor opportunity with options/equity potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:###

  • design, build, test and deploy new functionalities to our FX payment platform
  • participate in planning, estimation, progress tracking at daily stand-ups
  • bring new ideas to our organisation
  • be excited about learning and willing to operate outside your comfort zone

Qualifications:###

  • BS degree in computer science (or similar field) - or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years experience as a software developer (Javascript, Java, C#, C/C++, Python)
  • 2+ more years experience with NodeJS
  • experience with micro-service architectures
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • passionate about quality and delivery
  • experience with one or more cloud platforms, AWS, Azure, Google

Nice to Have:###

  • familiar with DevOps tools e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • financial markets domain knowledge
  • experience with SEO, site analytics
  • experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android)

Technologies:###

  • Javascript, NodeJS, Express, Jade, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, ReactJS
  • NoSql (MongoDB), Linux, Ansible,
  • AWS - EC2, S3, Route53, ELB, Elastic cache, Lamdas
  • ElasticSearch and Kibana stack

The role is based in the Sydney CBD (@Tyro FinTech Hub, 155 Clarence Street) however we offer a flexible working arrangement (i.e. working from home or another location if preferable).
